Two restaurants in the region have made the list of the UK's top 100 on Opentable. The site is an online restaurant-reservation service that has thousands of locations around the UK.

It has now published its Top 100 restaurants in the UK for 2023. The list is compiled from over 1.2 million OpenTable diner reviews.

It uses various dining metrics including diner ratings, percentage of reservations made in advance, and five-star reviews.

A spokesman said: "The list highlights some of the top spots favoured by diners this year."

The region secured two places on the top 100. There were:

The Jackdaw in Conwy

Run by former Fat Duck commis, Nick Rudge, The Jackdaw serves a "well-thought-out" tasting menu. It has a 4.8 (out of 5) rating on the app and over 600 reviews.

The most recent review stated: "Our first time sampling the tasting menu and we weren’t disappointed. The staff are amazing and go to great lengths to ensure that you have a pleasant evening. We will be back."

Gwynedd

The Potted Lobster in Abersoch

A seaside restaurant serving locally caught fish and shell fish sourced from Llyn Peninsula harbours. This has 523 reviews and also has a 4.8 rating from reviewers.

A recent review stated: "Perfect meal. We both chose the Sunday roast beef and a nice bottle of Malbec. Not rushed and not kept waiting. Lovely!"
