A "rare opportunity" has come up to buy a beach hut on the one of the most expensive stretches of land in Wales. Abersoch has a row of huts at the rear of the main beach Porth Mawr and they don't often come on the market.

When they do the price tag usually shocks and it is no different this time. It's not the most expensive guide price we've ever had - that's £250,000 for a double fronted shed - but it is still more than many homes in Gwynedd.

The asking price this time is offers over £185,000. For that you get a 18ft by 12ft corrugated hut - with a timber door and balcony. But you're not really paying for the shed with this one of the most sought after seafront locations in the UK.

On the listing, estate agent Beresford Adams said: "A rare opportunity to acquire a freehold bathing hut on the much sought after Abersoch Main Beach, positioned midway between the Golf Road slipway and the Yacht Club end of the beach and a few hundred yards from the Beach cafés and sailing school.

"The Hut has been in the same family ownership for a number of years being well maintained with corrugated exterior sheeting, double wooden entry doors and a timber balcony. The hut measures 18'x12'.

"A great family location to relax and play on the golden sands and to take in the wonderful views across Cardigan Bay to the St Tudwal's Islands with the backdrop of the Cambrian Mountain Range."

Despite the price there is expected to be strong interest in the hut. The family have asked for images of the specific hut not to be used.
