Module 2: Mīmāṃsā’s Hermeneutical Principles
❖ The Purpose of the Vedas
❖ The Methods of Interpretation (Vyākhyāna-Paddhati)
Module 3: Key Concepts and Debates in Mīmāṃsā
❖ The Debate on the Authority of the Vedas
❖ The Theory of Meaning and Reference
Module 4: The Practical Application of Mīmāṃsā
❖ Mīmāṃsā and Daily Life
❖ Mīmāṃsā and Other Disciplines
Each MAS course comprises 45 hours of teaching and with 2 quizzes and 2 assignments. The number of assignments and quizzes change subject to faculty discretion. Final exams for all courses conducted at the end of the semester.
