Maria Wirth, a German woman with a psychology degree from Hamburg University, stopped in India on her way to Australia. At the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar, she had a profound realization of the wisdom that Bharat holds and decided to stay in India. She shares her insights through articles, books, and her blog in both German and English. Despite facing suspensions on Twitter and having some of her replies on Quora removed due to her frankness, she continues to express her thoughts on her blog. She has often been invited as a speaker at various conferences including the World Hindu Congress. Her English book is titled “Thank you India – a German woman’s journey to the wisdom of Yoga.”
