Those hoping for a photo with Flash Gordon might just say a-ahh when they see the price of a picture.
Science fiction and film fanatics from across the country will land in Wrexham this weekend as Wales Comic Con comes to Glyndŵr University .
The event - which sees thousands of visitors each year - is an anticipated date on the comic fan's calendar.
From £15 per day, guests can see artists, take part in cosplay - character inspired costume - competitions and even meet some of their favourite science fiction characters in the flesh.
However those who want a photo of the stars , or have an item autographed, will have to be sure to bring their wallet.
Common practice at most conventions, fees for photos is not a new phenomena. But it does mean that supporters of the event will have to hand over cash to have a picture with the famous guests - with sneaky selfies strictly prohibited.
Want an autograph or a photo with just one guest? Your bill could be close to £100.
Of course, these celebrities need to make a living, but exactly how much does a convention guest charge for the pleasure of a signature or a smile?
Looks like being a hardcore sci-fi fan could turn out to be an expensive interest.
