Although I always try to be positive when tasting and reviewing the takeaways of North Wales, sometimes I try somewhere new and it can go either way - I have to say though that good experiences outweigh the bad tenfold. For my latest review I headed to a Denbighshire pizza place which has received outstanding reviews.

Nestled on a back street in the middle of the picturesque town of Llangollen, Dee Pizza's reputation is undeniable. With overwhelmingly positive feedback - the Oak Street parlour does a roaring trade.

As a pizza lover, I have sampled the Italian classic all over the world in the past and was genuinely surprised that, after my 37 years of searching, I found the best pizza I've ever tasted in the county where I was born and raised.

I arrived in Llangollen at around 6pm and, having ordered online, was able to collect on arrival. The staff were very friendly and helpful - another string to the ever-expanding Dee Pizza bow.

I decided to take a walk back over the beautiful bridge connecting the northern and southern parts of the town. The view across the River Dee was simply stunning, with the old railway station and Corn Mill restaurant adding to the gorgeous vista.

Now, the 9-inch All Meat Pizza wasn't the cheapest you'll find in North Wales at £11.40, but after my first bite I'd decided that I would happily pay double. The pepperoni, salami, ham, chicken and beef combined fantastically with what tasted like mature cheddar to form the most perfect of pizzas.
