The last Wilko in North Wales will close this weekend. This will be the sixth store in the region to shut after one the biggest names on Britain's high streets plunged into administration in August.

Discount chains B&M and Poundland have agreed to buy as many as 122 Wilko stores between them. But so far neither of those deals have named any stores in North Wales.

B&M has not named the 51 potential sites while Poundland has listed some of the dozens they're taking.

The region had six stores prior to the crisis in Rhyl, Wrexham, Holyhead, Porthmadog, Llandudno and Pwllheli. Five of those have already closed.

The one site left now is Porthmadog which will shut on Sunday. This will leave six large empty units on retail parks and high streets in the region.

North Wales Live wants to know who readers would like to see fill those spaces. Despite it being a tricky time in the retail sector there are still brands expanding.

Let us know who you would like to come here in the comments section. Name the town and brand you want to see on your high street or local retail park.
