A newly-refurbished town centre cottage may end up selling for as little as £60,000 at an auction next week. The terraced property on Holywell High Street will be one of the cheapest homes on the market in North Wales if its guide price is matched.

While it is not uncommon for homes to go under the hammer around the £50,000 mark, most of those that do are often fixer-uppers in need of an experienced hand to get them up to scratch. However, this Flintshire property is something of an anomaly as all the work has already been done.

The one-bedroom cottage isn't the biggest, but it has a decent-sized living room, a newly fitted kitchen, a new bathroom, and a double bedroom. Each room appears to be freshly painted with new floors as well.

The cottages also appear to have been given a new paint job on the outside, with fresh off white walls and olive doors, window frames and guttering.
