Pizza Hut is set to shut its second North Wales restaurant in a month. In September North Wales Live revealed that the chain was closing the site in Wrexham.

The good news there is that jobs will return to the unit as it is being taken over by McDonald's. But Pizza Hut has now confirmed it will also close its restaurant in Queensferry on Deeside.

That site will close this Saturday. The only sites Pizza Hut will have left in North Wales will be at Llandudno Junction and Rhyl.

A Pizza Hut UK and Europe spokesperson said: “We can confirm that our Deeside Retail Park Hut, located in Queensferry, will permanently close on 28 October. Responding to an ever-shifting consumer landscape, our business and operating models are evolving. We are confident in the ongoing success of one of Britain’s favourite businesses, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused."
