Wrexham is a city blessed with not just numerous takeaway options but a plethora of affordable and great value ones also. From the famous Jones's Chippy in the city centre to Josie's in Rhosymedre - the area is packed with great takeaways - none of which will break the bank.
One place which is right up there with the very best Wrexham has to offer is Everland Fish Bar on Market Street. The place is also run by a very famous family.
Everland is owned and operated by the Koumas family, of which former Cardiff City and Wales midfielder Jason Koumas belongs. Online reviews of Everland are pretty favourable and the chippy was given a huge thumbs up a few months ago by the popular YouTube food critic Matt from Food Review Club.

My visit came on a sunny Thursday afternoon but despite the glorious weather, Everland was quiet when I arrived at around 4pm. I had a quick look at the extensive menu but decided on an old favourite - battered sausage, chips and curry sauce. It was a bargain at £6.50.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and after a short wait I was away. The portion size was very generous indeed and the smell made the food that little bit more enticing.
The only criticism, albeit a very minor one, was that the batter on the sausage was possibly a little bit overdone and just a little bit too crispy for my palate. That said, everything else was spot on - the chips and curry went incredibly well together and the sausage in the middle was delicious.
I have to say I think Everland was a fantastic chippy and fully deserving of its praise online - but for me, I think Jones's and Josie's are still the kings of the Wrexham chippy scene. But with so many superb takeaway options in the area, Wrexhamites are very lucky to have such a fantastic wealth of takeaway options at such excellent value as well.
