As the first half term of 2023 kicks off there is plenty going on throughout North Wales to keep you entertained. It has been a fairly pleasant week throughout North Wales with the sun out for most of the week.

That is set to continue into the weekend with no rain expected throughout the region on both days. Saturday is going to be the warmer day with highs of around 11C and Sunday will see highs of around 10C.

Bangor Music Festival

If live music is your thing then the Bangor Music Festival themed around Improvisation could be for you this weekend. Across the two day festival people will have the chance to celebrate all things music.

There are a number of music themed events scheduled across Friday and Saturday with some online. The Bangor New Music Ensemble will also join the event for a special performance.

Sister Act The Musical

Stars including Lesley Joseph, Clive Rowe, Lizzie Bea and Sandra Marvin are in Llandudno this weekend as Sister Act The Musical arrives. The hit show is a brand new production of the Broadway and UK hit musical.

Birds of a Feather actor Lesley told North Wales Live: "Spend the money sit in the theatre and you will see why you should be at the show because you'll be taken on a sort of magic carpet ride for two and a quarter hours. And you'll get to the end and you'll be on your feet and you'll be waving your arms and shouting and cheering because it is what I would call a joyous show."

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Sticking with the theatre theme, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is hitting the Theatr Clwyd stage this weekend. Tip Top productions have brought the show to the stage and it will include some of the iconic music from Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The show is one of theatres biggest and you can join in and sing as the cast sing songs such as Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door. It is proving to be very popular so you need to grab tickets quickly!

When- Friday February 17 at 7:30 pm and Saturday February 18 at 2:30pm and 7:30pm

Aladdin

You may notice a theme this week as Aladdin hits the William Aston Hall stage in Wrexham. Wrexham and District Pantomime Company bring their pantomime version of the Disney classic to the stage.

They will tell the story of poor wash house boy Aladdin who is trying to keep his family's business going. Something suddenly changes and his luck turns and it is changed forever.

When- Many shows from Friday, February 17 until Monday, February 20
