More snow is set to fall on North and Mid Wales, the Met Office has warned. On Sunday evening the forecaster issued a Yellow alert for snow – the third weather warning issued for Wales in less than 12 hours.
Ice and rain alerts are in place already and now the Met Office has thrown snow into the mix as well. Its yellow warning lasts from Sunday evening until Monday afternoon.
Accumulations are expected on higher areas of Wales and may lead to some localised disruption. The warning extends north from Powys to cover Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire and Wrexham.

The Met Office said: “Snow should become confined to the higher parts of northern and central Wales, as well as northern England with time, leading to accumulations of 2-5cm on some roads above around 150m, and perhaps 10-15cm on roads above around 350m.”
The warning is in place from 6pm on Sunday to 12pm on Monday. In many areas, snow is likely to be accompanied by rain and sleet. On Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), 8cm of snow is forecast to fall.
The theme continues into Monday, with more rain, particularly in South Wales. Hill snow is possible, perhaps falling to lower levels in North Wales later on in the day.

Earlier on Sunday, the Met Office issued rain and ice warnings covering different parts of Wales. Icy patches may develop this evening and overnight, leading to difficult conditions on the roads.
Again, North Wales will bear the brunt, with icy roads possible in Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham. Also possibly affected will be Powys and Monmouthshire. There's more on this warning here.

The day’s second Yellow weather warning was for heavy rain. This is likely to mostly affect South Wales, perhaps up to Powys. Some flooding is possible, the Met Office warned.
The outlook for Wales is a little better. The Met Office said: “Brightening up through Tuesday with sunny spells. Mostly bright on Wednesday after freezing fog clears.
“Becoming windier on Thursday with some heavy rain. Generally chilly, but gradually turning milder later.”
