Dr. Shekhar Patel is a distinguished scientist, entrepreneur, and cultural advocate who serves as a Board Member and Vice-Chair of the Fundraising Committee at Hindu University of America (HUA). With a PhD from Oklahoma State University, Dr. Patel is the co-author of two impactful scientific publications in Chemical Physics Letters and Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics (2014), focusing on protein bond energies and biomolecular manipulation. He is also the primary inventor of a U.S. patent (US 8802018 B2, 2014) for an innovative apparatus for radiation processing of fluent food products, showcasing his expertise in health and technology.
As CEO of Mushrooms and More Inc. , Dr. Patel drives advancements in nutrition and biotechnology to enhance public health in the United States. His extensive industry experience includes leadership roles at Wyeth Pharma (now Nestle Nutrition), PepsiCo, Siemens Healthcare, Quest Diagnostics, and Panacea Biotec Ltd., blending scientific rigor with business acumen.
Dr. Patel’s commitment to cultural and social causes is evident through his board memberships at the International Center for Cultural Studies USA Inc., which holds consultative status with the UN ECOSOC, and the International Commission for Human Rights and Religious Freedom. His thought leadership, published in Organiser magazine, influences cultural and ideological discourse, aligning with HUA’s mission to promote Hindu philosophy and cultural education.
