Dr. Mahadevan Seetharaman is a Duke Integrative Healthcare Leader and Founder of Ayurveda Living. As an Ayurveda Diet & Nutrition Consultant and Yoga Teacher, he provides up-to-data Ayurveda related health and wellness information, directory, research, news, and reviews. Dr. Mahadevan serves on the Boards of the Global Council for Ayurveda Research (GCAR), American Association of Ayurvedic Professionals (AAAP), the American Academy of Yoga and Meditation (AAYM) and co- founded the Texas Ayurveda Professionals Association (TAPAS).
Dr. Mahadevan Seetharaman was previously the CEO and Managing Director at one of the largest integrative research university hospitals in India – the Institute of Ayurveda & Integrative Medicine (I-AIM). During this time, he served as Professor & Dean, School of Health Sciences, Transdisciplinary University (TDU) advising and mentoring various clinical and research faculty. He was a member of the University Board of Management (BOM), Scientific Advisory Board, Academic Council, Graduate Committee and Ethics Committee. Since then, he has helped set up an Integrative Healthcare Centre as the COO of Isha Arogya Research Foundation.
He continues to serve as a Visiting Professor at the Transdisciplinary University (TDU). As a co-guest editor, Dr. Mahadevan Seetharaman was involved in managing the MDPI Journal Medicina Special Issue on “The Future of Medicine: Frontiers in Integrative Health and Medicine.” Besides holding a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, he has done post-doctoral research at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Foundation.
