Hollywood star Paul Rudd was among excited Wrexham AFC supporters today for one of the biggest games in the club's long history. The Ant-Man actor chatted to The Turf landlord Wayne Jones and North Wales Live reporter Thomas Lewis in the build up to the promotion showdown.

Rudd, 54, has wowed the movie world with a series of memorable roles in films from Clueless to Hallowe'en: The Curse of Michael Myers to Ghostbusters: Afterlife. He most recently appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

But his latest role was as one of the growing throng of Red Dragons fans who have made a bee-line for the Racecourse Ground in recent months following Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny's momentous takeover of the club .

And North Wales Live reporter Tommy Lewis was there to speak to him.

He began by addressing Paul and Wayne with the words: "I'm here with two massive global celebrities! I've said that twice today mate (to Wayne)"

Tommy jokingly asks Rudd if he's a Wrexham or Boreham Wood fan.

The star says: "Wrexham all the way. Exciting thing to be here."

Tommy says to Wayne: "This is just another day in the life of Wayne Jones?"

But Wayne replies: "No, I'll be cleaning the toilets at 8 o'clock in the morning."

Rudd hits back: "My flight doesn't leave till 10. I'll join ya!"

He adds: "It's the greatest thing that can happen to a town - having your team win."
