These stones found in a pet dog look like she had been munching on a pebble beach. But the truth is even more strange because the pooch hadn't eaten them at all.
They formed from her own food to become bladder stones. "It's crazy!" said owner Rachel Roberts, of Rhyl.
She revealed that the natural phenomenon happened to her beloved seven-year-old Pug-Zu called Suki, which is a Pug-Shih Tzu cross. Ms Roberts, 43, said she realised there may be a health issue after a dog walk last week.

She told North Wales Live: "I took her for a walk in Llanrwst last Wednesday. Towards the end of the walk she seemed to be struggling. She was weeing a lot and there seemed to be red in it - like blood - and she was shaking." Rachel took Suki to her vets in Rhyl but couldn't get an appointment so went the next day.
"They kept her in. They said she needs an operation."
It was duly performed and a huge number of "stones" were discovered in her bladder.
"They look like pebbles - it's absolutely crazy! They built up inside her. Everyone I show the picture to says 'Oh my God!'
"It was something to do with absorbing minerals from dog food. Now she's got painkillers and is on a special diet."
Suki has a scar where a vet at Rhianfa Veterinary Centre in Rhyl had to opened her up but it looks like being a happy ending. Rachel's family had taken in Suki and Suki's sister Jani as rescue dogs in Dyserth when Suki was about 15 months old. Sadly Jani died a few months ago.
But Rachel feared her surviving dog Suki was ailing too. "After the op Suki ran away. It was raining and I was looking for her for an hour. I thought she was going somewhere to die but got her back.
"I thought I would lose her too but it's a big, big relief," said Rachel, who runs Rachel Sian Photography.
She said she was very grateful to the Rhianfa Veterinary Centre and that they saved her life. She says he would have probably died if she had not taken him when she did.
